Yet again I have re-designed my site. This is version 15 for those that are counting. It’s not been very long since I re-designed the site using Chris Coyiers WP-Typo theme. However the one thing I always find when I use someone else’s theme is that I’m never satisfied with the way it is. To be fair I’m never satisfied with the way my site looks but I tend to find that my own designs last a lot longer than other Wordpress themes. It’s not that other designs are bad. They’re just not mine. Hence this new design.
I’ve played around with some cool technologies in this version, most notably getting some cool font style’s served by Typekit. I also decided to go for a Maxvoltar style sidebar as I wanted something different from the standard sidebar. This meant I could try the “stuff loads of info in my footer” approach which I actually think is the best looking part of the site. So as always let me know what you think especially if you find any bugs, and yes even criticisms are welcome.

Today I humbly present v14 of gilbertpellegrom.co.uk. The theme is built upon the WP-TYPO theme designed by Chris Coyier and released by Digging Into Wordpress. Although a mainly typographical theme there are a few images about the place, mostly in the form of icons. So huge respect has to go to the great Rogie King at Komodomedia for his amazing work.

After recently deciding I wanted to redesign the dev7studios website I have done so, and for once I think it’s pretty good. It was bit of an off the cuff design that only took me 2 days and has some obvious inspiration from Mark Jardine’s site. The thing I think is pretty cool is the colour change for different categories. Anyway enough talking. Head on over and check it out.

For a while now I have been wanting to do my own version of Tim Van Damme’s personal information site. From the moment I saw it I thought it was very cool and there have been some great revisions from other designers (as well as some bad ones). So this was my attempt at a new about page.
There is quite a mix of cool jQuery and quirky CSS techniques used in there. One of the things I’m most impressed with is that the site works in every browser (yes even including IE6) and even the fading animations work. So head on over and check it out and let me know what you think.
